As we are essentially a financial service, all of our fees will be transaction related
This will not be any more than traditional methods, as any international donation is subject to forex etc
In fact, if we go global, we can convert currency internally, saving on transaction fees
On this, using Wise (or equivalent) would allow us to accept donations from multiple countries without fees, and to be able to store these as local currency. While we are an AU charity, we don't necessarily have to deal in AUD, in fact I would assume that the majority of charities take USD.
In addition, by pooling donations, we can reduce the number of transactions, which reduces the fees experienced by the user, as opposed to if they were to donate on their own.
The remaining fees will be dependent on how charities prefer to accept donations
We don't want to go through intermediaries, as that means the fees get charged twice, we want to be the sole intermediary between the donator and the charity, which means we can only offer charities that we can directly donate to
As we grow, we might start to incur hosting fees for the database and/or website
